Leading global strategic communications advisory firm Finsbury Glover Hering (FGH) announced Scott Weier has joined the firm as a Partner in the health practice in the Washington, DC office.
Weier previously worked at FGH (then the Glover Park Group) from 2010 to 2016 and is re-joining the firm after spending six years at Kaiser Permanente – one of the largest health care delivery systems in the United States. At Kaiser Permanente, Scott led corporate communications for the Mid-Atlantic region before being tapped to lead national media relations for the organization. He spent the last 18 months with Kaiser Permanente’s community health team, leading advocacy and coalition-building and overseeing several of the organization’s COVID-19 response efforts.

Prior to his time at FGH, Weier managed strategic communications for Avalere Health, a Washington-based consulting firm focused on health policy and business. At Avalere, Scott worked across content teams, spearheading strategic communication engagements for a wide range of pharmaceutical, provider, foundation, device, and association clients. Before his time Avalere, Scott spent several years in the editorial world, managing publications for the Advisory Board Company, the California HealthCare Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
