Technical PR meets decentralised wind
Technical PR agency Stone Junction has been appointed by AirPlus Renewables to deliver an international PR campaign supporting the company’s commercial launch of its XEVA micro wind turbine technology, with activity beginning immediately ahead of a planned launch event later this summer and initial pilot deployments across multiple international markets.
The appointment follows a competitive process and comes as AirPlus prepares to bring its decentralised wind technology to market, with pilot deployments scheduled ahead of a full production launch later this year.

AirPlus Renewables, a UK-based renewable energy company, is entering the market with a different approach to small-scale wind generation. Its XEVA technology is designed for local energy production, allowing organisations to generate electricity on site without relying on large wind farms or grid expansion.
The campaign will focus on building credibility for the technology while establishing a clear distinction from legacy micro wind systems, which have struggled to gain trust due to inconsistent performance. Early deployments will play a central role in this, with real-world data used to demonstrate output and reliability.
Stone Junction will deliver a programme of media relations and technical content to support the launch. Activity will align with wider discussions around energy resilience and rising electricity costs, alongside increasing pressure on grid infrastructure. Initial interest in the technology includes letters of intent and planned pilot installations with organisations across multiple regions, alongside early engagement from government bodies and industrial operators.

That means clear data and visible deployments, alongside consistent explanation of how the technology fits into the wider energy system.”

The campaign will build towards AirPlus’ planned launch event this summer, where the company will present its technology alongside early performance insights from pilot installations. Early deployments and the launch event will provide the first public view of performance data, giving prospective customers and partners a clear reference point as the technology enters wider commercial use.
