Company bolsters leadership team with AI and product innovation veteran to drive next phase of growth

NEW YORK (August 12, 2025)Storyful, a subsidiary of News Corp specializing in social media intelligence and video, has appointed Roy Robinson as Chief Product & Technology Officer to lead innovation amid surging demand for AI-powered verification and social intelligence tools.

The appointment comes as Storyful expands its Intelligence and News + Video divisions to meet growing demand from media organizations and Fortune 500 companies seeking innovative solutions to help brands, agencies, and media organizations navigate risk, shape perception, and act decisively in a high-velocity digital environment through analyst-led, AI-amplified insights and journalist-verified, rights-cleared user-generated content.

Robinson brings more than two decades of experience in SaaS, AI, and machine learning-driven products. Most recently, as Chief Product Officer at Mention Me, he helped create the industry’s first Customer Advocacy Intelligence Platform, integrating Generative AI to enhance user experience and building predictive models that drove client revenue growth. His career includes senior product leadership roles at AYLIEN, Boxever, and Rapid7, where he launched award-winning products, built scalable teams, and consistently delivered transformational growth.

His hire follows the recent appointments of Tara Naughton as Senior Vice President of Intelligence and Shauna Little as Vice President, Head of Marketing & Growth, as Storyful expands its leadership team. Storyful’s Intelligence division continues to gain traction among enterprise clients seeking early insights into trends, emerging issues, and reputational risks, while its News + Video division remains essential to newsrooms worldwide for content verification and user-generated content.
