Storyful bolsters leadership team with industry veterans,
expanding global reach and impact
NEW YORK (May 24, 2025) – Storyful, a subsidiary of News Corp specializing in social media intelligence and video, has accelerated its growth with two key leadership hires: Tara Naughton as Senior Vice President of Intelligence and Shauna Little as Vice President, Head of Marketing & Growth.
These strategic appointments come as Storyful expands its global reach across media and corporate sectors. Its News + Video division – established in 2010 as user-generated content (UGC) began transforming journalism – has seen rapid growth in its newsroom and publisher client base, as both video and the associated verification become essential to media operations. Building on proprietary technology and deep expertise in monitoring UGC across social platforms, Storyful’s Intelligence division, launched in 2022, is gaining significant traction among Fortune 500 companies seeking early insights into trends, emerging issues, and reputation risks.
“Tara and Shauna bring a rare combination of strategic vision, creative energy, and operational rigor to Storyful at a pivotal moment in our growth,” said Maria Pacheco, CEO of Storyful. “As we continue to grow both our Intelligence and News + Video divisions, their leadership will help us deepen our impact and bring even more value to our clients around the world.”

Tara Naughton
With decades of experience at leading global PR firms, including Cohn & Wolfe (now Burson), Naughton brings a strong track record of growth and deep expertise in client acquisition and expansion. Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer at MikeWorldWide, where she led strategic initiatives and new business efforts that resulted in double-digit year-over-year growth and managed award-winning campaigns for brands including Nikon, Whole Foods, Autotrader, and Subaru. At Storyful, she oversees a global intelligence team focused on commercial development, business growth, and data-driven strategy.
“In an era where misinformation and rapidly evolving narratives can create significant business challenges, Storyful’s intelligence capabilities offer unprecedented visibility and strategic advantage,” said Naughton. “I’m thrilled to be a part of this exceptional team and help brands transform how they anticipate and navigate emerging issues and opportunities.”

Shauna Little
With over 15 years of experience in brand marketing and strategic partnerships, Little has held leadership roles at top media and entertainment industry brands, including The Washington Post, Paramount, CBS Interactive, and Tribune. She joins Storyful from The Washington Post, where she served as VP of Advertising Solutions and Marketing. In this role, she developed go-to-market strategies and integrated campaigns that delivered results for top-tier clients, including Rolex, IBM, BCG, TikTok, and Fidelity. As VP, Head of Marketing & Growth, she’ll oversee brand, performance, and partnership strategy across both the Intelligence and News + Video divisions.
She was previously named one of Broadcasting & Cable’s Young Guns: 18 Under 34 and has received multiple fellowships from the U.S. State Department for Middle Eastern language studies.
“Storyful stands at the intersection of trusted journalism and advanced intelligence – a uniquely powerful position in today’s information ecosystem,” said Little. “I look forward to amplifying our story and accelerating our growth trajectory across global markets.”
