Strategy and communications agency BPCM appoints François Souchet as Global Head of Sustainability and Impact

Leading strategic consulting and communications agency BPCM announced the addition of François Souchet as Global Head of Sustainability and Impact, a newly created role. Souchet will be responsible for supporting clients in building ambitious impact strategies and forging new relationships across the agency’s main disciplines worldwide. He will be based in the London office, known as ModusBPCM, alongside Partner Julian Vogel, and will work closely with the entire BPCM network.

Souchet joins BPCM from The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, where he led the Make Fashion Circular initiative. Under his guidance, the program became a disruptive force within the fashion industry, championing circularity. Souchet worked with the BPCM team during his time at the foundation.

BPCM is the first lifestyle agency to have formalized its sustainability practice in response to growing industry needs. This work is led by BPCM Partner Carrie Ellen Phillips who is a Founding Partner of the US Coalition on Sustainability at the United Nations, an advisor to Closed Loop Partners and a sustainability mentor for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

The addition of Souchet constitutes a pivotal hire for BPCM, for which sustainability has become the fastest growing practice across all agency specializations including fashion, CPG, beauty & wellness, wine, travel, material sciences, private equity and NGOs, helping to implement science led and impact-based decision making, ethical supply chains and waste reduction.

“The complexity of this work is not just in convincing companies that reducing their impact is important, it is in creating a compelling business case so that corporate decision makers can commit to these changes for the long-term.  BPCM’s specialty is in diving into a company’s DNA to uncover opportunities and creating roadmaps that shift companies toward purpose,” explained Phillips.  “François’ work in the circular economy and also as a management consultant will enhance and build upon the work we are already engaged in.”

Souchet stated, “I am passionate about driving purposeful transformation to solve today’s most pressing issues. At the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, I worked to orchestrate such transformations at the industry level, creating alignment behind a shared vision and initiating collaborations to achieve faster progress. At BPCM, I look forward to supporting individual companies in crafting ambitious strategies alongside a plan to get there—with objectives, evaluation points along the way, and internal and external communications programs. We will also identify and connect with the right partners to deliver against this plan.”
