Swanson Russell Hires Six in Omaha and Lincoln Offices

Swanson Russell welcomes Dave Garretson, Leen Glenn, Jodi Hoatson, Dustin Smith, Kelli Sweeney and Mollie Wilken.

Garretson is a senior account manager in the Lincoln office. Prior to joining the agency, Garretson was a marketing specialist for Nightforce Optics. Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Garretson attended Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and graphic design.

Glenn works as an associate writer and producer in the Omaha office. The Kearney, Nebraska, native served as the referral program coordinator for Flywheel in Omaha before joining the agency. They graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Hoatson is a senior public relations counsel in the Omaha office. Her previous public relations and corporate communications roles have focused on the agriculture, healthcare and higher education sectors, serving as senior public relations strategist at CHI Health and assistant director of athletic communications at the University of Connecticut. A Nebraska native, Hoatson earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Smith serves as a writer and producer in the Omaha office. Before his start at Swanson Russell, he worked as a copywriter at Omaha Steaks. Originally from Omaha, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and public relations from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Sweeney works as a human resources and talent acquisition specialist in the Lincoln office. Prior to joining the agency, she was a training specialist at Five Nines in Lincoln. Hailing from Fargo, North Dakota, Sweeney graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations.

Wilken is a public relations associate in the Omaha office. Prior to joining the agency, she served as the press secretary for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture in Washington, D.C. The Bloomfield, Nebraska, native graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural journalism, advertising and public relations.
