Tastemade announced the appointment of Geraldine Martin-Coppola as Chief Operating Officer, who brings 20 years of executive leadership experience to her new position at the global entertainment company.
As COO of Tastemade, Martin-Coppola will oversee brand marketing, product, commerce, and technology, and will take her international experience to further drive Tastemade’s global vision. She is uniquely positioned, given her success in previous executive roles, to bring Tastemade beyond the content realm, and into thoughtful commerce and experiences that speak to the brand’s audience.
“As one of the industry’s most respected executives, Geraldine’s impressive expertise and creative background will be a great asset to Tastemade,” said Larry Fitzgibbon, Co-founder and CEO of Tastemade. “As we grow, and have more and more viewers and fans watching all over the world, they’re engaging with the brand in new ways. Innovative leaders like Geraldine are essential to Tastemade’s growth and evolution, and we’re lucky to have her on our team.”
Most recently, Martin-Coppola was the President of Goop, the lifestyle brand dedicated to wellness, health, travel, and food, alongside its product marketplace serving its content verticals. In this role, she led the scaling of commerce revenue and tripled the company’s revenue year over year.
Previously, Martin-Coppola also held executive positions as the General Manager of Fabletics, as well as the Chief Operating Officer of ShoeDazzle.com, Director of Strategy at Yahoo and more. Her expertise in the lifestyle realm is respected throughout the industry, and her digital wherewithal has led her to oversee multi-million-dollar brands, transform e-commerce platforms, and reinvent digital media strategies.
“It’s a very inspiring time to join the team at Tastemade,” Martin-Coppola said. “With six studios across four continents, hundreds of millions of viewers, a burgeoning online marketplace, and ever-expanding distribution, innovation is everywhere at the company. I’m excited to enter the fold and help Tastemade achieve global success for the brand.”
Martin-Coppola will work from the company’s headquarters in Santa Monica, California. As Tastemade’s COO, she endeavors to continue inspiring the taste of a generation, alongside the company’s founders and her team.
