The NHP Foundation (NHPF), a not-for-profit provider of affordable housing, announced that it has tapped Marijane Funess to head PR and Marketing activities for the organization.
Funess was previously a Director at Crenshaw Communications for seven years managing consumer, CSR and tech accounts.
“Marijane’s strong mix of intuitive PR skills, passion for our mission-driven work and a can-do attitude combine to make her a natural choice to lead our growing PR and Marketing efforts,” said NHPF President & CEO Richard Burns.
In her role at NHPF, Marijane handles day-to-day PR, marketing and social media functions, as well as planning the organization’s major event, its fall Symposium & Dinner. This year’s event will debut a study on health and housing and honor leaders in the industry.
Funess also counts in her experience work with marketing boutique theONswitch, handling integrated programming for clients in the food, technology, education, and health sectors. Previously, she held senior positions at Burson Marsteller, Manning, Selvage & Lee, and Ogilvy & Mather Los Angeles. She has led high-profile brand assignments, product launches, and creative programs for General Foods, Nestle, Verizon and many others.
