French/West/Vaughan (FWV), a Raleigh-based independent public relations, advertising and digital marketing agency, has been selected by The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) to elevate its visibility amongst prospective students and promote its exceptional educational value and offerings, including its participation in the recently established NC Promise Tuition Plan.
FWV will manage all external public relations initiatives for the university, which is located in the southeastern part of the state. The agency recently partnered with UNCP on a project in early 2018 and will continue to work to spotlight all the exciting initiatives taking place at the university.
Part of the University of North Carolina system, UNCP is proud to be one of the most ethnically diverse universities in the south as well as a leader in educating students from low income and rural backgrounds. As of this fall, UNCP is part of the NC Promise Tuition Plan which significantly reduces cost, making a UNCP education one of the best values in the state.
“We’re committed to helping young minds grow and thrive, which starts with affordable tuition,” said UNCP Executive Director of University Communications & Marketing Jodi Phelps. “We believe partnering with French/West/Vaughan will help UNCP continue to be seen as a champion for accessible, quality education and remain top-of-mind for students and their parents during their college search.”
In addition to its distinct value proposition, UNCP is at the forefront of innovation. Both faculty and students work alongside one another on life-changing scientific advances, such as discovering new antibiotics, type 2 diabetes studies and research that could slow or reverse Alzheimer’s disease. The university also recently announced its new college of health sciences, which speaks to its commitment to meeting the health care needs unique to rural southeastern North Carolina.
“We are proud to be working with UNCP to promote its dedication to affordable, quality higher education,“ said FWV Chairman and CEO Rick French. “As FWV has been headquartered in North Carolina for over 20 years, we are honored to help such a worthy institution attract and shape the next generation of pioneers and leaders for our state.”
As UNCP hit record enrollment numbers this year, the agency will continue its charge of raising awareness for the university, current tuition savings and innovative initiatives. This is the first time the institution has established an agency-of-record relationship.
