Global creative collective Thinkingbox announced that they have promoted Managing Director Corey Hankey to Managing Partner.
Hankey originally joined the company as a flash developer in 2008 and then quickly ascended through various levels to become executive producer, and, most recently, managing director of the SLC office. In his current role, he leads the SLC office and oversees some of Thinkingbox’s largest clients, which include Adobe, Intuit, Riot Games, and Zillow. In his new position, Hankey will have responsibilities to grow the business through both acquiring new clients and organic growth from existing clients, ensuring agency integration, managing client relations, and focusing on internal culture. He will also support the leadership team in M&A, expansion strategy, and overall business direction.
“It’s been an honor to be part of such a talented group of individuals throughout the years. The entire team has such amazing passion for delivering award-winning projects for our clients and partners. I look forward to the next chapter and being a huge part of the evolution of Thinkingbox’s growth in the coming years,” Hankey said.
Amir Sahba, CEO of Thinkingbox, described Hankey as “An incredibly talented leader whose passion for creativity and client service is evident in everything he does.” He added: “ We’re privileged and fortunate to have Corey as one of our Managing Partners, and I’m very much looking forward to his and our continued success together.”
Thinkingbox has experienced exponential growth over the past three years and has recently been named to Adweek’s Fastest Growing Agencies for the second consecutive year. SLC is a critical office for Thinkingbox, as many of the Silicon Valley high-tech companies have continued to relocate or set up offices in the SLC region, given its active lifestyle culture and lower cost of living compared to San Francisco or Los Angeles. Hankey’s recent promotion solidifies the management and future of that office and Thinkingbox’s commitment to its growth.
