Trident DMG, the strategic and risk advisory consulting firm, announced today that Emily Kingsland has joined the firm as Executive Vice President. “Trident is thrilled to welcome Emily to the team,” said Adam Goldberg, a founding Trident DMG partner. “Emily’s extensive experience and impressive track record leading efforts to help executive teams and high-growth companies craft compelling narratives and build brand and reputation further strengthens the foundation of our corporate and strategic communications practice.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to start my next chapter at Trident,” Kingsland said. “The firm has an exceptional team, diverse and exciting stable of clients, and a proven practice of helping businesses build value and navigate risk.”

Kingsland previously led communications at Revolution, the D.C.-based investment firm founded by AOL co-founder Steve Case. During her tenure, she advised a portfolio of over 200 companies backed by Revolution, and oversaw brand and marketing across the firm’s later-stage funds. Kingsland worked directly with investors, founders, CEOs, and startups on media relations, thought leadership, policy initiatives, and risk mitigation and management.

Previously, Kingsland spent nearly a decade working in-house at foundations and nonprofits dedicated to improving outcomes in healthcare and education. She spent five years at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation leading media relations and policy communications—working closely with biotech firms to announce scientific advances and therapeutic developments while advocating for legislative priorities for people living with rare diseases. Earlier in her career, Emily worked at Edelman and Widmeyer, a FINN Partners Company, working with clients in the public affairs practice.
