Valora Appoints Red Lorry Yellow Lorry to Spearhead Multi-Regional PR Program

by | Feb 3, 2022

Valora, a mobile crypto wallet that enables global payments and easy access to decentralized finance apps, has appointed b2b technology PR and marketing agency Red Lorry Yellow Lorry as its US and UK PR agency of record.

Built on Celo blockchain technology (also a lorry client), Valora experienced breakneck growth in 2021 after closing a $20 million Series A funding round. This enabled it to operate as a standalone company from cLabs – the organization that initially shaped Celo and the native asset CELO. The lorries will now seek to establish Valora as the premiere mobile crypto wallet in the Celo ecosystem, for both crypto newcomers and seasoned users.

Led from the lorries’ Boston and London offices, the PR program will focus on generating brand awareness and engagement through media campaigns, refining and amplifying their powerful brand voice with thought leadership and educational content, as well as identifying ad hoc commentary and news-sharing opportunities. In addition, the program will build industry recognition for Valora CEO Jackie Bona, through executive profiling and speaking opportunities.

With Valora’s cutting-edge technology, its diverse team of in-house experts, as well as high-profile investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Polychain Capital, the brand has a deep pool of compelling stories to tell. The lorries will draw from this to provoke media interest, build top-of-funnel engagement and further elevate the Valora brand.

“Since launching last year, Valora experienced tremendous evolution and growth and we’re thrilled to partner with the lorries to help us amplify our brand and gain market traction,” said Sharman Ordoyne, Head of Marketing, Valora. “After bringing the lorries on for a whirlwind successful funding launch in November, we knew we wanted to partner with them long-term to help us achieve our communications goals. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and for what comes next.”

“Developing a multi-regional PR program for a fast-growth company like Valora always poses an exciting challenge for our team,” said Meredith L. Eaton, director of North America at Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. “After starting work with Celo in 2021, we were delighted to add Valora to our blockchain client roster, which also includes the likes of BlockApps, Blockchain Intelligence Group, and CertiK, among others. We look forward to working with Valora to deliver great results in 2022 and beyond.”
