Warschawski Expands Team, Adds Senior Designers Carly Castle and Cathy Pires

BALTIMORE – March 27, 2024Warschawski, a fully integrated advertising, digital, PR, branding, and marketing communications agency, today announced the addition of Carly Castle and Cathy Pires to its growing team. As senior designers, they lead the creative direction, development, and execution of print, digital, and video projects to support integrated marketing campaigns for the agency’s clients.

Prior to joining Warschawski, Carly was an in-house web designer at Consilience Financial and a graphic designer at Milwaukee-based CMRignite. Her skill set spans graphic design, web design, campaign development, and project leadership in both nonprofit and corporate settings. In her previous roles, she led projects for various nonprofit clients, designing annual reports, creating collateral materials, and producing branded assets for fundraising campaigns. She also assisted with a large-scale redesign and content audit for a government agency website.

Cathy has a strong background in branding, packaging, editorial design, social media, digital illustration, and typeface design, previously working with prominent clients, including CNN, Hulu, Serendipity, and Havaianas, among others. Her work has been recognized by the IF Design Awards, Red Dot Design Award, and Brazil Design Awards. Cathy also has a passion for mentoring and has taught disciplines such as Typography, Senior Seminar, and Sketch/Rendering to undergraduates.

Both currently based in Baltimore, Carly received her B.A. in Art with a focus on interactive and graphic design from Millersville University, where she was a member of the university’s field hockey team and won an NCAA National Championship. Cathy was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and earned a dual B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and FUMEC University (Brazil), where she was named valedictorian. She also holds an M.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she was closely mentored by design icons Ellen Lupton and Jennifer Cole-Phillips. Outside of the office, Carly enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, and visiting art museums while Cathy enjoys traveling, reading, and discovering new music.
