Wyoming-based Raven SR, has selected Hill+Knowlton Strategies US (H+K) and Australia-based Cannings Purple, to be its global public relations partners as it prepares for the deployment and commercialization of its carbon negative fuel technology that converts waste into green hydrogen and synthetic fuels.
The appointment comes following the US renewable fuel company’s global review for an integrated strategic communications provider to support Raven SR’s media relations and digital activation globally.
Matt W. Murdock, Founder and CEO, Raven SR, said, “We were impressed by the strategic creative thinking and global sector understanding demonstrated throughout the competitive process by H+K and Cannings Purple. They stood out for their depth of expertise in renewables, their insights-driven approach to earned media and digital and their ability to activate collaborative teams on the ground in our key markets immediately. As we look to activate our partnership with Hyzon Motors, Raven SR is well positioned to lead the conversation in green energy solutions, and we look forward to partnering with H+K and Cannings Purple to drive this global agenda.”
Cannings Purple Chairman, Warrick Hazeldine said: “It is an honor to be collaborating with H+K once again, on another significant renewable energy story like Raven SR. This collaboration, made possible through ties to our global WPP family, builds on the successful partnership we established through our joint efforts on delivering hydrogen mobility and clean energy company Hyzon Motors – a soon-to-be $2.1 billion NASDAQ-listed company – to the world stage, and we are excited to be aligning on the next big hydrogen and synthetic fuels story that is Raven.”
“As companies navigate the fast-approaching energy transition, Raven SR is poised to revolutionize the waste to energy, renewable fuels and clean hydrogen business model. H+K US is proud to support Raven SR in their mission for converting to green energy and our shared passion for purpose-led innovation and communications, will set a strong foundation for our work together.” says Marvin Singleton, H+K Client Lead and Executive Vice President.
Utilizing patented Steam CO2 technology that is non-combustion based, the Raven system – both mobile and scalable – turns bio-mass, municipal solid waste, bio-solids, industrial waste, sewage waste, medical waste, and natural gas into renewable energy products.
Raven SR is a founding member of the Hyzon Zero Carbon Alliance, an initiative of global companies in the hydrogen mobility supply chain to foster knowledge and innovation among member companies to help customers make the transition to cleaner hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles.
In early 2021, Raven SR and Hyzon Motors announced the formation of a joint venture to build up to 100 hydrogen hubs in the United States and globally. The first hubs will be built in the San Francisco Bay area and are expected to be commissioned in 2022.
