Woodrow, the issues-led communications consultancy, has appointed four Associate Directors after a period of exponential business growth.
Duncan Bray, Lakshmi Narayan, Emma Kosian and Henry Kirby are all promoted from Account Director to their new senior roles. The appointments follow a 60% growth in revenues in the last 12 months for Woodrow, which has a 25-strong team in London, and offices in Amsterdam and Nairobi.
Founded in 2018 to focus on issues-led communications work, Woodrow represents clients such as Europe’s largest refugee charity Choose Love, dementia detection app Mindset and the streaming platform for sustainability, Waterbear. Its corporate arm has led award-winning campaigns on transport worker rights for the International Chamber of Shipping, and its ‘Consumer That Matters’ team counts FMCG giants PROPER, Eat Real and Vibrant Foods on its roster.
Bray was also appointed Head of Media Relations, responsible for all Woodrow’s media campaigns, after being recently named one of PR Week’s ’30 under 30’. Narayan, who joined from Engine Mischief in 2020, will lead the Consumer That Matters team, the brand-focused arm of Woodrow which has doubled in revenue in the last year.
Kosian, a former Burson-Marsteller crisis specialist, will continue to build out the Woodrow crisis and risk practice, supporting clients during the pandemic. Kirby, a recent hire from MullenLowe Salt, will advance Woodrow’s business communications practice, with a particular focus on ESG and sustainability
Woodrow’s team has also advised on several major news events in recent years, including the Ever Given blockage of the Suez Canal.
Woodrow’s Managing Director Charlie Tarr commented: “Despite all the challenges thrown at them in the last year, Duncan, Emma, Lakshmi and Henry have exemplified the true Woodrow spirit. Honest, tenacious and always putting the consultancy first, they are the powerhouse behind our huge growth over the last 12 months. It’s a privilege to lead such a skilful team, and so exciting – the sky is the limit for all of them.”
Woodrow opened a new office in Shoreditch in 2021. It expects to add further support to its offices in Amsterdam and Nairobi by the end of the year.
