BNN’s The Disruptors: Should the show focus on startups or established players?
By Brett Serjeantson | June 11, 2015

I’ve been watching and analyzing BNN’s The Disruptors since April. As an entrepreneur, I really appreciate the show—it encourages me to think differently on how I view opportunities, and even how I make decisions at MediaMiser.

On June 4’s episode, hosts Amber Kanwar and Bruce Croxon discussed some interesting recent developments in social media, including:

There were also profiles done on Pawly, Varagesale, Ear-O-Smart, and Varagesale CEO Carl Mercier (which turned out to be the most popular topic on social media).

So, considering the reaction the latter got on on social media, should The Disruptors focus on platforms more like Varagesale and entrepreneurs like Mercier?

I’m not sure. Personally, I enjoy discussions around industry trends and players like Twitter, Google, and Uber the most—and these topics are also typically fairly popular on social.

But what do you think—which type of content would you like to see more of on The Disruptors?

This is the latest a weekly blog series that recaps BNN’s The Disruptors featuring companies looking to change their industries. The recap is compiled from the show and leverages MediaMiser solutions to gauge what’s being said about it online.
