2010 bronze Bootstrap winner sponsors 2011 award

MediaMiser, 2010 bronze medalist in the Fastest Growing Bootstrap Start-Up category, will sponsor the Best Guerrilla Marketing Idea/Social Marketing category at the 2011 Bootstrap Awards on Friday, Feb. 11 at the Centurion Conference and Event Centre.

This awards program is organized by Exploriem.org, a registered Canadian not-for-profit professional entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs organization.

“It’s a perfect fit with our business approach and corporate culture,” says Martin Lyster, COO of the Ottawa media monitoring and analysis firm. “As successful entrepreneurs ourselves and the winner of a Bootstrap award, we are pleased to be in such good company as Exploriem, Dr. Bruce Firestone, OCRI, and the start-ups being considered for awards this year.”

Nominees in the MediaMiser-sponsored category must demonstrate how smart marketing allowed them to get earned media for their enterprises and acquire customers and clients cost effectively.

“We’re looking forward to toasting the eventual winner,” says MediaMiser CEO Brett Serjeantson. “It will be interesting to see who – Civiside, Contest Mob, TheTop10, WickidApps, Netgen, or Zeebu Mobile – comes out on top in this creative category.”

MediaMiser also will have a booth at the Adawe trade show from 11 until the beginning of the luncheon, which starts at 12:30.
