Ottawa – MediaMiser Ltd., Canada’s leading provider of media analysis and public relations measurement solutions, has hired two key employees to help meet the demand for its products and services and ensure continued strong growth for the company.
Bill McGuinness joins MediaMiser as director of sales for the Greater Toronto Area, and Kelly Rusk joins as manager of marketing and communities.
“It’s important that we continue to operate our company responsibly and that includes making key hires,” says Martin Lyster, the company’s vice-president of sales. “Our revenues have grown substantially in the past year, and our current staff has been a big part of that. To continue that growth, we are constantly on the watch for other skilled professionals to build on our current team.”
Mr. McGuinness previously worked at Ottawa’s Halogen Software as a regional sales manager, where he helped to grow the company from 30 customers to more than 1,200 worldwide and increase revenues dramatically. He holds a master’s degree in communications and journalism from Carleton University.
Ms. Rusk joins MediaMiser from Montreal-based startup SmartHippo, where she worked as the community manager, and was responsible for growing SmartHippo’s social media presence. Ms. Rusk has successfully spearheaded many other social media strategies for other companies, and in 2008 was nominated as Canada’s most influential woman in social media in Canada.
