Ottawa, Toronto – Ottawa-based MediaMiser Ltd. has expanded into the Toronto area with the opening of a new office and addition of a new team member in the region.
“We’ve been expanding quickly in the corporate and agency sectors,” says Chris Morrison, vice president of client services. “Many headquarters and agencies are located in the Toronto area, so we decided that establishing a presence there is in our best interest.”
One of Toronto’s fastest growing sectors is new media, an area that provides technology products and services to media markets. The city also boasts the second lowest operating costs in North America as well as having the largest concentration of communications budgets in Canada.
“Toronto offers a lot of possibilities for a company with cutting edge media analysis software like MediaMiser,” says Morrison. “We have always been looking to expand into the Toronto market, but we had to find the right person.”
Morrison says MediaMiser found that person in Paul Mewett, the company’s new director of business development. He has a background in the media and advertising research industries, along with experience in management and operational responsibilities.
“Paul brings a lot to the table,” says Morrison. “He has the perfect combination of experience in media monitoring, sales, marketing, and media analysis, on top of his extensive knowledge of the Toronto market and his many contacts there.”
Mewett has more than 20 years of experience in media and marketing sectors. Prior to joining MediaMiser, he was the president and founder of media monitoring company MediaFacts Ltd.
