Allison+Partners and Stagwell Expand Presence in Latin America

by | Oct 4, 2021

Allison+Partners, a global marketing and communications agency, today announced the opening of several new offices in Latin America through an affiliate relationship with Grupo Garnier, which will rebrand offices in eight markets as Allison+Partners. Stagwell (NASDAQ:STGW), Allison+Partners’ parent company, maintains a partnership with Grupo Garnier as part of its broader Global Affiliates program, launched earlier this year.

The partnership significantly expands Allison+Partners growing global network in Latin America (LATAM) and positions the agency to drive significant growth throughout the region.

As part of the partnership, Allison+Partners and Grupo Garnier will field a joint team in Miami led by General Manager David Baum and Business Development Director Tomás Saiz to counsel North American brands entering Latin America, as well as the U.S. Hispanic market. Together, the two agencies will bring augmented capabilities including public relations, digital marketing and content marketing to clients in LATAM and the United States.

Saiz recently joined Allison+Partners as a Business Development Director and will work out of the agency’s recently opened Miami office. He brings over fifteen years of experience in brand business development, advertising, marketing, media and sales and has partnered with clients across various industries, including CPG, QSR, financial services, technology and pharma.

“Joining forces with Grupo Garnier puts us in a position to rapidly scale our offerings in Latin America, a growing global market with a significant need for communications and marketing services and a major opportunity for digital growth,” said Allison+Partners Global Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Heit. “This expansion delivers eight key hubs through which we can reach all of Latin America and a growing presence in Miami which serves as a gateway for global brands expanding in South America.”

Grupo Garnier’s capabilities span brand development, digital marketing, public relations, data-analytics, CRM automation, e-commerce, performance marketing and technology. The partnership pairs Grupo Garnier’s team of 150 PR specialists across Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico with Allison+Partners’ network operating in 32 markets globally.

“Latin America’s economy is expected to rebound quickly in the coming years, with two main drivers for growth. First, the opportunity to nearshore services with highly qualified offerings at a lower cost than other more developed regions. Second, the local market is becoming increasingly digitalized. Combining our marketing and technology expertise with Allison+Partners’ complementary services marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our company and our clients,” said Grupo Garnier CEO Arnaldo Garnier. “Through this strategic alliance, we’ll bolster our world-class client service with new technologies and capabilities and grow our footprint in the United States.”

“When we launched the Allison+Partners Miami office, we always understood that it has to serve as the gateway to Latin America and an international business hub to make a lasting impact. We have taken a giant step towards our goals through this partnership,” said David Baum, General Manager, Allison+Partners Miami. “I’m excited to work alongside Tomás and all of our new A+P colleagues as we continue to scale globally.”

The announcement comes on the heels of recent expansions for both Allison+Partners and Stagwell. Allison+Partners entered a strategic partnership with Orient Planet Group to grow its reach in the Middle East and opened its Miami office in June 2021. In addition to Grupo Garnier, Stagwell earlier this year added Anchor Worldwide and The Lab to its global affiliate network, deepening its bench of global content and creative solutions in the region.
