The Paris office of APCO Worldwide, an international strategic communications, crisis communications and public affairs consultancy, has announced the strengthening of its team with the arrival of Aloïs Nuffer as senior director. He will be responsible for overseeing the corporate communications support offered to the firm’s clients, who will benefit from his experience of more than 15 years in the communications consulting sector.

“I am delighted to be joining APCO Worldwide, whose business in Paris has been growing steadily over the last few years,” Nuffer said. “The agency is one of the players pushing the French market upwards, thanks to its high value-added, demanding, integrated and highly international approach. Its teams combine a very detailed knowledge of the economic, political and regulatory context with robust content production and activation capabilities in public affairs, digital influence and press relations. I look forward to building on this momentum with the existing team.”

Prior to joining APCO, Nuffer was a partner at Portland Communications, where he worked for six years in the agency’s London office, before returning to Paris in 2021 to help develop the agency in France. In this role, Nuffer led communications campaigns for major corporations, governments and non-governmental organisations across Europe and Africa. He was previously a senior director at Elan Edelman in Paris, where he worked with international clients in a variety of sectors, including financial services, energy, health care and transport.

Arnaud Pochebonne, managing director of APCO’s office in Paris, said, “with his exceptional international experience and his in-depth knowledge of corporate communications, digital and executive coaching, Aloïs strengthens and consolidates our position as the benchmark firm for strategic communications on the French market. I am sure that he will bring a lot to our team and will be able to continue to offer our clients the satisfaction that they find at APCO. I thank him for joining us and look forward to working with him.”

Nuffer’s arrival is complemented by that of Nina Pereira, formerly press and communications advisor to Nadia Hai, Minister for the City in the Jean Castex government. She has also worked for several agencies, such as JIN and Ogilvy, where she deployed communication campaigns for major companies and their executives.

These recruitments confirm the growth that APCO is currently experiencing in Paris, with a Parisian workforce of 39 employees, who work in all areas of influence consulting and stand out by the priority given to the strategic dimension of communication and public affairs for their clients’ activities.
