Billion Dollar Boy Announces Strategic Hires to Maintain US Growth Following Successful 2023

New York, US, January 30, 2023Billion Dollar Boy, the leading global creator agency, introduces three key new hires in the US market to strengthen its operations and regional presence amid rapid global growth forecast to exceed 30% this financial year. 

The addition of Marie La France as Vice President of Growth, Christine Göös as Senior Director of Marketing and Emily Brown as Senior Manager of Strategy positions Billion Dollar Boy to continue capitalizing on growing demand as the creator economy is predicted to reach a global valuation of half-a-trillion dollars by 2027

The company, which is set to celebrate its ten year anniversary this year, also experienced a 35% increase in its workforce in 2023, secured nearly 30 new clients, including Dove, Disney+ and Spotify, and achieved a 1040% rise in EBITDA in the past year. The full team now consists of 160 members with offices in New York, London, New Orleans, and Copenhagen. 

Marie La France, Vice President of Growth 

Marie La France has been appointed Vice President of Growth, reporting directly to Permele Doyle, Founder and President of Billion Dollar Boy, in the New Orleans office. She is tasked with identifying new business opportunities to expand the agency’s US client base, with a focus on innovation and partnerships.

La France brings a wealth of experience in senior Strategy and Growth positions, including her most recent role as Vice President of Strategy at Dash Hudson, a social media management platform. During her tenure, she developed and implemented strategies across revenue-generating departments and built strategic relationships with platform partners and brand customers spanning fashion, beauty, retail and CPG. Over the course of her career, she also served as Vice President of Beauty at Condé Nast and held the position of Sales Director at Vogue, leading the Sales teams at both companies.

Christine Göös, Senior Director of Marketing 

Assuming the role of Senior Director of Marketing, Christine Göös oversees integrated marketing across content, communications, social and events in the US. Göös reports to Becky Owen, Global Chief Marketing Officer, and is based out of New York City. 

With 13 years of industry experience, the veteran marketer enters her new position having recently served in brand marketing and creative roles at TBWA and Power Digital. Prior to these, Göös built content and marketing practices for advertising SaaS giants Celtra and Smartly.io, priming them for successful acquisitions in 2017 and 2019. Her work has helped secure more than 30 advertising awards for brands, including prestigious accolades from shows including The Cannes Lions and The One Show. She’s been recognized as Storyteller of the Year at Top Women in Marketing 2021 Awards and as Marketer of the Year Finalist at The Drum B2B Awards in 2020. She is also the co-host of the creator economy podcast, House of Content. In its inaugural year on air, the show was featured on industry media like Muse by Clio, among others.

Emily Brown, Senior Manager of Strategy 

Emily Brown joins Billion Dollar Boy as Senior Manager of Strategy where she takes on the strategic ownership of campaigns from the briefing stage through post-campaign analysis. Reporting to Simon Harwood, the Global Performance Director, her role is based in the New York City office. 

In her most recent position as Account Supervisor of Social Strategy at Edelman, the global communications firm, Brown supervised the creative briefing, development and production of social media campaigns. In this role, she spearheaded social strategy for Samsung’s global TikTok presence and worked with renowned brands like Volkswagen USA, KFC and Prudential. Before Edelman, Brown served as Social Strategist at the creative agency Giant Spoon, overseeing research and development for Kate Spade NY’s TikTok strategy and managing influencer campaigns for HBO’s Game of Thrones. Brown holds a Master of Arts degree in Emerging Media from Loyola University and recently secured a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from University of Edinburgh Business School where she focused on the impact of viral social media.

In February, 2023, East transitioned from the agency’s UK headquarters in London to its New York office to focus on advancing the existing US business. He’s been playing a pivotal role in further developing the agency’s operational structures and strengthening its client relationships stateside.
