Following the celebration of the company’s fifth anniversary, Choice Media & Communications announced the addition of Maddie McGarvey as social media manager.
Prior to joining Choice, McGarvey was an account executive for The Andrews Agency in Nashville and managed public relations campaigns, media relations, event planning, and social media for clients including Battle of Franklin Trust, The Jones Company of Tennessee and the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County.
Studying Public Relations and Marketing at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, McGarvey worked for Cardinal Communications, a student-run strategic communications and media sales agency, and was exposed to client work at an early stage in her education, which laid the groundwork for her future.
“Maddie won me over from the moment we first connected,” said Heather Adams, Choice founder and CEO. “She went above and beyond during our very long and arduous hiring process. Constantly proving her value before she even had the job offer, Maddie delivered high-quality work. Then she met our entire team and we knew she was part of us. I can’t wait to see how she will enrich our offerings to clients.”
Additionally, Choice is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Tuttle Payton from associate publicist to publicist, effective immediately. Payton joined Choice as an associate publicist in June 2018. Since joining Choice, she has served as an integral part of publicity campaigns, including best-selling author and pastor Louie Giglio, CrossFit Games Champion and “Fittest Man in History” Rich Froning Jr., and SHE Podcast host and one of SUCCESS Magazine’s 30 Under 30, Jordan Lee Dooley. In her role as publicist, Payton will lead and manage client accounts, campaign oversight, and strategic planning.
“Sarah is that rare breed—the one who graduates from college and acts like a seasoned PR veteran within six months,” said Adams. “She has delivered the nation’s top media for our clients because of her drive and excellence. Sarah has called out the best in our entire team. I’m honored to have her as a part of Choice but even more so to play a small role in her continued development.”
