NEW YORK CITY, June 20, 2023 — Travel and hospitality marketing and communications firm The Decker/Royal Agency (D/R) announces the addition of six new clients to its expanding roster.   D/R was named agency of record for Natural Habitat Adventures, delivering exceptional and intimate nature and wildlife experiences to small groups of passionate explorers and nature lovers; and six distinct lodging experiences in Maine including the award-winning Claremont Hotel located in Southwest Harbor and dubbed ‘the most beautiful hotel in the world’; The Lincoln Hotel, a luxuriously reimagined mill in the heart of rising Biddeford; waterfront Salt Cottages, a lively cottage community steps from Acadia National Park; Sandy Pines Campground offering a relaxing respite for glampers and families in a tranquil part of coastal Kennebunkport; and the chic Wanderer Cottages, where New England charm meets the casual vibe of a surf lodge.

The rebirth of one of Maine’s oldest historic properties, The Claremont Hotel sits among birch groves and balsam fir along the Somes Sound in the Southwest Harbor. With stunning waterfront views and chic design, the swanky six-acre shorefront property, which originally debuted in 1884, underwent a complete renovation in 2021, re-emerging as the uber-stylish haven known for its sophisticated summer camp essence. The Claremont features a total of 52 accommodations, a heated swimming pool overlooking the sound, a fitness cottage, an expansive garden, a game room dubbed “The Croquet Club,” and more. Each room, having been lovingly restored, features historic architectural details with fresh modern design. The on-site spa, Botanica, offers such services as CBD facials, body wraps and scrubs, waxing, and more. Boasting high design and detail-oriented service, The Claremont is home to four food and beverage venues: Harry’s Bar, Little Fern, Batson River Fish Camp, and Buttercup Bakery. 

A cozy place to land with a front row seat to the sunrise, Bar Harbor’s oceanside hideaway Salt Cottages feature 40 maritime-inspired accommodations, including 30 stand-alone cottages, ranging from studios to two bedrooms and ten boutique bungalows thoughtfully designed to reflect the spirit of coastal Maine. Salt Cottages offers the rare combination of resort activity and amenities with a variety of cottage lodging options, all overlooking Frenchman Bay. The property is complete with a swimming pool, luxury hot tubs, a clubhouse complete with board games and ping pong tables, and on-site snack bar. 

The first boutique hotel in rising Biddeford, Maine, The Lincoln Hotel features 33 expertly designed rooms and a rich history as a 19th century textile mill. A chic and inviting hub in the center of Downtown Biddeford’s dining and cultural scene, The Lincoln’s accommodations feature peek-a-boo showers, gas fireplaces, exposed brick, and high ceilings. The hotel features the only rooftop pool in Southern Maine, complete with a lounge area, vibrant bar, and 360-degree view of downtown. Onsite, guests can imbibe at The Lobby Bar, inspired by the grand nightclubs of the ‘40s and ‘50s; Batson River Brewing and Distilling, which has become synonymous with one-of-a-kind cocktail and dining experiences; and Spinning Jenny’s Coffee Bar. 

Located in the coastal town of Kennebunkport, this retro-cool campground is Southern Maine’s premier glamping destination. Offering multiple unique rental options, Sandy Pines features an onsite general store, a heated saltwater pool, state of the art bathhouses, and a swanky lodge. Sandy Pines’ accommodations are complete with electricity and furnished by local designers, with styles ranging from Airstream trailers, Conestoga wagons, kids’ safari tents, small cottages, and more. A campground that runs on hotel-level service, the Sandy Pines staff is available to assist glampers in sourcing firewood, organize guest events, and recommend nearby dining. 

Kennebunk’s hipster hideaway, The Wanderer features 17 small and large white clapboard cottages, complete with queen beds, modern bathrooms, wet bars, and outdoor living spaces. Each cottage boasts a unique design, locally furnished by Maine Woodworks. Combining classic New England charm with the casual vibe of a surf lodge, The Wanderer features a lounge pool, fire pits, lawn games, and free cruiser bikes to bring guests to nearby Parsons Beach.
