French/West/Vaughan Announces Five New Hires and Six Promotions in Raleigh and Tampa

French/West/Vaughan (FWV) one of the nation’s largest independently-owned public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, announced five new hires and six promotions in its Raleigh headquarters and at Tampa-based FWV Fetching.

Returning to FWV as vice president is Rachel Wing, who was previously with the agency from 2014 through early 2016, serving as Group Account Director working with Wrangler, Pendleton Whisky, SAS, The V Foundation and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. In 2016 and 2017, Wing held senior marketing positions at The Zimmerman Agency in Tallahassee, Fla., and with N.C.-based Variety Wholesalers, Inc. She is a Dean’s List graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

John Moore joins FWV as Creative Director, a title he held recently with former Raleigh ad agency Howard/Merrell, where he spent 18 years, beginning as an art director in 1999. At Howard/Merrell, Moore, a graduate of NC State, was known for award-winning national brand campaigns on behalf Kioti Tractors, Georgia-Pacific and Cordura Fabric, among others.

Following a two-year stint at Raleigh digital marketing firm Heart + Hammer, Jerstin Crosby has been named Social Media Art Director at FWV. Crosby had previously been with Chapman Design in Babylon, N.Y. and Apple in New York City.  From 2005 until 2011 he held positions as professor of art and design at Carnegie Mellon University and Chatham University, both in Pittsburgh, and at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Crosby holds a BFA from the University of Alabama and an MFA from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Rachel Jackson joins as Account Coordinator following internships at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Eckel & Vaughan, NC State University and FWV. Jackson is a four-year Dean’s List graduate of NC State where she earned her BA in Communications with Magna Cum Laude honors.

At FWV Fetching, the agency’s Tampa-based pet and veterinary marketing practice, Amanda Yantos has been hired as Account Executive. A 2011 graduate of Arizona State, Yantos is the founder of the pet blog, Dog Mom Days. She is a seasoned freelance writer, speaker and blogger specializing in brand-integrated content.

In addition, FWV has announced the promotions of Melissa Timney, Senior Vice President; Katie Johnson, Vice President; Evan Burkhart, Senior Account Supervisor; Jordan Nowlin, Manager – Paid Social; Erin McGuire, Senior Account Executive; and Jillian Spitz, Account Supervisor (FWV Fetching).

FWV employs more than 100 public relations, public affairs, social media, advertising and digital marketing experts among its Raleigh, New York City, Los Angeles and Tampa offices.
