Raleigh, N.C.-based integrated marketing agency French West Vaughan announced it is teaming up the Certified Angus Beef  brand with four-time world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield and Hall of Fame kicker Morten Andersen to celebrate pro football’s big game in Atlanta with America’s No. 1 branded beef.

Holyfield, who has deep roots in Atlanta, and Andersen, who played for the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, will represent the Certified Angus Beef brand throughout the week leading up to the championship on Sunday, Feb. 3. The two sports legends will be accompanied by premier chefs and product specialists at appearances including a VIP steak dinner and media interviews on Radio Row at the Georgia World Congress Center. FWV is coordinating all brand, talent and media relations initiatives.

Holyfield and Andersen have prepared by visiting the Certified Angus Beef Culinary Center in Wooster, Ohio, to learn about the extraordinary taste, quality and industry-leading standards that define the brand.  They also contributed to selecting their own signature dishes that will be featured in Atlanta.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Evander Holyfield and Morten Andersen to bring the Certified Angus Beef brand story to Atlanta during the biggest brand marketing week of the year,” said FWV CEO & Chairman Rick French. “Beef dishes like burgers, steaks and chili are a traditional part of game day, so having two sports icons representing the top beef brand in the country will be something special.”

FWV and the Certified Angus Beef brand team will kick off the festivities on Wednesday, Jan. 30 with an exclusive private dinner for VIP guests and invited journalists. Celebrity chefs John Folse, a partner with Rick Tramonto at Seafood R’evolution near Jackson, Mississippi, and Jeremiah Bacon from The Macintosh and Oak Steakhouse in Charleston will join Certified Angus Beef brand chefs Tony Biggs and Michael Ollier to present a Southern-inspired menu. Holyfield and Andersen will also unveil their specially-selected beef dishes at the dinner.

“Being the best at what they do, Certified Angus Beef is a brand that I have a lot in common with,” said Holyfield. “It is going to be a fun week in Atlanta, and I’m looking forward to sharing a lot of amazing food, stories from my career and maybe some predictions about the game.”

On Radio Row, Holyfield and Andersen will serve up more than interviews. The Certified Angus Beef brand culinary team will be preparing hot food at the Georgia World Congress Center, and chefs will provide media with samples and help explain why it’s the beef industry’s highest standard of quality.

“I’ve been on Radio Row many times, but this will be the first time I’ve been able to bring food to the table,” said Andersen, a long-time media favorite. “I can’t think of a better brand to partner with to make sure these sportswriters and broadcasters enjoy the interview!”
