The British Olympic Association (BOA)—the body that selects and manages Team GB—has appointed Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) as its retained public relations agency for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The London-based integrated marketing and communications agency was selected from a strong list of agencies at both the long-list and pitch stage to deliver Team GB’s campaign through until September 2020. It will be H+K’s third successive Olympic Games in support of Team GB, the nation’s most loved sports team.
The team’s Tokyo 2020 campaign will look to drive awareness of the Olympic Games—taking place between 24 July-9 August 2020—and Team GB’s participation in it from this summer as the nation marks One Year To Go to the world’s biggest sporting event.
Focusing on bringing the fans closer to the athletes and their stories than ever before, the campaign will feature impactful PR moments, supplemented with engaging content from athletes, celebrities and superfans alike.
