Hotwire expands corporate and executive communications team with senior media relations & executive communications leaders

Hotwire, the global tech communications consultancy, has hired Tihanna Louise as VP, Executive & Corporate Communications and Kacie Thomas as VP, Media Strategy as it expands its corporate and executive communications team.

“Even as we’ve introduced new strategy, digital, and insights capabilities; the media relations and corporate and executive narrative development that we are experts in, are solving urgent problems for our clients every day,” said Heather Kernahan, Hotwire CEO, North America. “Technology leaders need more counsel than ever on reputation management, diversity, equity and inclusion, crisis communications, policy intersections and strategies to develop company narratives that truly connect with their employees and other important audiences.”

New Leaders Bring Decades of Tech Comms Expertise

Tihanna Louise VP, Executive & Corporate Communications spent 15 years as a television and radio news reporter, producer, and writer for major network affiliates such as ABC and FOX across the country.  She then worked in public relations and marketing and helped start-ups, small businesses, and non-profits in the Bay Area hone their messaging and corporate narratives. Louise is also a skilled motivational speaker and executive coach who has worked with tech leaders and entrepreneurs to master their mindsets, up-level their confidence and polish their public speaking skills.

“I believe effective, authentic, and engaging communication is a learnable skill and that every person on the planet has a story worth sharing,” says Louise. “I’m thrilled to be joining the Hotwire team and excited to be working with innovative brands and leaders who are driving the technology industry forward and using their platforms to set a new standard for leadership.”

Kacie Thomas, VP Media Strategy has spent over 10 years as a communications and media strategist in Silicon Valley where she has built successful communications campaigns for technology brands including AT&T and Facebook. Through storytelling and media relationship building, she effectively distills complex technology topics such as 5G and open source into compelling stories that elevate a brands’ position and leadership to the right audiences.

“The media landscape has become increasingly more complex all while reaching your target audience effectively has only grown in importance,” says Thomas. “Hotwire’s insight-driven approach to media relations and storytelling is unique and I am extremely excited to be a part of continuing to build the right relationships that help our clients amplify their stories.”

Both leaders will report into Lindsay Riddell, Senior Vice President, Corporate and Executive Communications and be responsible for supporting media and corporate communications strategy and executive media and speaker training across client teams.
