by | Mar 29, 2018

Hotwire, a global communications agency, has won a three-way pitch to become the retained global agency for leading hostel-booking platform, Hostelworld.

The comms brief means Hotwire’s consumer teams in the UK, U.S. and Australia will be developing and launching integrated creative to raise mass consumer attention of the brand and hostelling as a top travel choice. Underpinning creative activations will be influencer relations, content creation, thought leadership and crisis comms support across the three markets. Additionally, Hotwire’s European offices will work on creative projects and support in-market initiatives.

Marek Mossakowski, Global Head of Brand at Hostelworld, says, “Hotwire impressed us with their sharp, focused direction building on our already powerful brand proposition of Meet The World. It is very hard sourcing global talent across multiple markets. We believe this is one of Hotwire’s key strengths and are very excited to be working with them.”

Emma Hazan, Global Head of Consumer at Hotwire, says: “We pride ourselves on working with innovative brands. Hostelworld isn’t just the market leader – it is a brand that is constantly looking at new ways to stand out. We will be working closely with the Hostelworld team globally on fresh, integrated campaigns that take their brand proposition to an even wider audience – demonstrating that hostels offer amazing opportunities for all types of travellers that want both quality accommodation and great experiences.”

With this win, Hotwire adds to its growing global experience in the travel sector, with other clients including HomeAway, Agoda, Travelex, Kayak, Hotels.com and Explore. Over the last year, Hotwire has won multiple awards for its work with Travelex including PRCA and Travel Marketing Awards.
