Leading global strategic communications advisory firm FGS Global announced Jacqlyn Schneider will be joining as a Partner in the firm’s food and agriculture practice, based in Washington, D.C.
“Jacqlyn is one of the sharpest policy minds in food, nutrition and agriculture,” said Grant Leslie, global head of FGS Global’s food and agriculture practice. “Her deep experience in policy and politics – and particularly her experience in leading negotiations of multiple bipartisan Farm Bills, as the Farm Bill process begins in earnest – will be invaluable for our clients. We are so excited to welcome her as a leader on our growing food and agriculture team.”
Schneider comes to FGS Global following more than 16 years of leading food and agriculture policy on Capitol Hill, most recently serving as Deputy Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, & Forestry under Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). In her role leading the Committee, she directed the Chairwoman’s work on all food and agriculture issues including nutrition, with an emphasis on infant and child nutrition, as well as a broad portfolio including specialty crops, local, regional and organic foods, climate and conservation, dairy, labor, immigration reform and improving support for minority and underserved farmers.
In addition to her work on several Farm Bills, Schneider oversaw development and passage of a variety of key nutrition and climate bills such as the Access to Baby Formula, Keep Kids Fed and Inflation Reduction Acts. Prior to joining the Senate, Schneider served as Legislative Director for Rep. Jim Costa (D-CA) and, earlier in her career, worked for the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
Schneider is a graduate of James Madison University.
