Kimball Hughes Public Relations announced the hiring of Hariharan Rajagopalan as the firm’s new public relations assistant. Rajagopalan graduated this May from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.

During his time at Boston College, Rajagopalan accumulated practical public relations and general communications experience through his classroom work and a series of internships, including one with Kimball Hughes PR.

“Hari joined us in the summer of 2018 as an intern and quickly stood out for the quality of his work, as well as his work ethic,” said Kimball Hughes PR President Gary Kimball. “He proved himself both capable and talented, and after returning to school, furthered his skills with other internships and communication theories learned in the classroom. We were pleased to have him rejoin us on a full-time basis after graduation.”

Most recently, Rajagopalan served as a marketing intern for Mcneil, Gray and Rice Communications (MGR) in Boston. At MGR, his responsibilities included pitching editorial content to manufacturing and security executives, as well as scheduling editorial meetings. Prior to his Kimball Hughes PR internship, Rajagopalan was a communications assistant at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., where he regularly drafted press releases and content for the hospital’s external marketing and communications. While working for St. Mary’s, he also blogged for Galvanize Test Prep in Chennai, India, focusing on graduate school test prep and international students.

As a public relations assistant with Kimball Hughes PR, Rajagopalan will work with the agency’s content strategist to develop social media content and with the agency’s various PR account managers to draft media and brand content, as well as assisting in media relations efforts on behalf of a range of clients.
