Lou Hammond Group Opens Houston Office, Taps Amanda Hansen to Lead

by | Sep 10, 2018

Lou Hammond Group (LHG) is expanding into Houston to meet the needs of a rapidly growing client roster in the state. Headquartered in New York City, the 34-year-old marketing and PR firm is adding to its existing offices in Charleston, S.C., Miami, and Los Angeles. Leading the Houston office will be longtime Houstonian and seasoned industry veteran Amanda Hansen.

Hansen will hit the ground running with anchor client McNair Interests, where she is providing broad-based public relations, communications and marketing support while gearing up for the company’s recently announced transformative mixed-used development located at the intersection of Post Oak Boulevard and Richmond Avenue.

“As a fifth-generation Texan, having our brand represented in Houston has always been a personal goal. This thriving city offers tremendous opportunity and we are immensely proud to be here,” said LHG Founder and Chairman Lou Hammond.

LHG’s new base of operations in Texas will be in Houston’s midtown and will house a growing team of industry experts in communications, marketing, advertising, digital and creative services and media relations across a wide variety of industries, including real estate, hospitality, healthcare, financial services, energy, nonprofit and destination marketing.

With 20 years of marketing and communications experience and a track record of producing results for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit and compliance-driven organizations, Hansen will lead as the LHG Houston president. Most recently she was vice president of marketing and communications for the Houston Golf Association. Prior, Hansen led an award-winning public relations and social media team at MMI Agency serving global and Houston-based companies such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, TIAA, AIG and Shell Oil Company.
