Magrino, a full-service lifestyle communications agency based in New York City, announced the hire of Ariane Romano, who will serve in a new position at the agency, Executive Vice President/Integrated Brand Services. Additionally, the agency promoted four key personnel to senior executive positions: Jee Park to Executive Vice President (from Senior Vice President); Chris Walters to Executive Vice President (from Senior Vice President); Alexis Chernoff to Vice President (from Senior Account Director), and Nicole Frydman to Vice President (from Senior Account Director).

Ariane Romano, a former VP at Magrino between 2006 and 2009, is rejoining the agency during a time of tremendous growth, and in her role as EVP/Integrated Brand Strategy, she will be responsible for implementing an integrated marketing approach that will help identify areas of future development, unlock deeper engagement with clients, and introduce new types of services and industries to the agency. Ariane is a versatile senior executive who specializes in developing data-driven campaigns that meld the right mix of PR, social media, paid media, influencer marketing, partnerships, talent endorsements and activations. In addition to her time here at Magrino, she has worked across of variety of industries for major companies including; National Football League, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, PVH Corp., and most recently 160over90, an Endeavor agency.
Jee Park has been with Magrino for seven years, helping build the agency’s global client base, with a particular emphasis on wines & spirits, food, consumer products and travel. Prior to Magrino, Jee had two decades of media experience as a former journalist, luxury experiential producer, and media relations strategist, 2 including serving as the Director of Communications for Union Square Hospitality, and as a producer for CBS News, where she was a recipient of a James Beard Award for Best National TV Series.
Chris Walters has led a dual role at the agency since joining Magrino in 2020, managing both the travel and social media practices, and oversees integrated communications campaigns for Magrino’s client base. With nearly 20 years of combined in-house and agency experience, he has worked with a diverse mix of lifestyle innovators leading PR, social, and influencer marketing campaigns for boutique brands, D2C start-ups, and globally recognized companies including Bacardi Limited, Pernod Ricard, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, and Westin Hotels & Resorts.
Alexis Chernoff’s promotion to Vice President comes just one year after her joining the agency as Senior Account Director in the travel division, during which time she has managed several high-profile hotel launches and contributed to the agency’s strong growth in the travel space. Prior to Magrino, Alexis had a decade of experience as a top publicist at several NY PR agencies, specializing in travel, fashion and beauty.
Nicole Frydman began her career with Magrino in 2016 in the consumer division. She rejoined the agency in 2021 as an Account Director with a focus on growing the agency’s beauty, fashion and wellness client base, as well as continuing to execute successful campaigns in the consumer and wine space.
