Rigler joins MAPR with more than 15 years of strategic communications and public relations experience, with extensive expertise in securing top-tier media coverage for clients across multiple industries, including Fortune 500 companies, emerging tech firms, clean tech companies and global nonprofit organizations. Prior to MAPR, Rigler served in senior communications roles at Ball Aerospace, at former Vice President Al Gore’s global climate change initiative and at Naropa University. Earlier, Rigler held senior positions at the United Nations and served as chief of staff at both the Rockefeller Foundation and at former vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro’s global communications and public affairs firm.

“For nearly three decades, MAPR has built a reputation as one of the most trusted and impactful public relations firms in Colorado and nationwide, and I’m deeply honored to be a part of this team,” said Rigler. “MAPR has carved a unique niche, and I look forward to bringing my knowledge of best practices across industries to reinforce and add to our clients’ growth posture through effective and innovative public relations, social and digital media and content partnerships.”

“Bill’s resume speaks for itself, and he will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Doyle Albee, MAPR president and CEO. “He brings extensive experience in strategic communications across a broad range of industries and fields as well as deep, high-level relationships with reporters and company leaders in many industries, giving him the ability to connect with clients and tell their stories.”

Rigler is active in the community as well. He serves as the chairman of Boulder’s Transportation Advisory Board (TAB), as an appointed member of the City of Boulder’s Marijuana Advisory Panel and as a member of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce’s Community Affairs Council.
