MP&F Strategic Communications has named Jennifer Brantley managing partner of the firm.
Brantley, 53, joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 2017. She succeeds Alice Chapman, who died unexpectedly in November.
The firm, which celebrates 35 years in business in 2022, has 75 employees, has annual revenues in excess of $10 million, and specializes in public relations, marketing and advertising.
MP&F is a seven-time winner of the prestigious Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America, and its work on behalf of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee to combat the state’s opioid epidemic, led by Brantley, was named by PRSA as the nation’s best public relations campaign of the year in 2018.
The firm previously announced its next generation of leaders, including partners Chapman, Brantley and Mary Elizabeth Davis, as part of a long-term succession strategy. David Fox, one of the original partners, previously served in the managing partner role and remains active in the firm. The firm’s other partners are Katy Varney, who joined MP&F as a partner in 1993, and Keith Miles, who came on board in 1995 and was named a partner in 1998.
“Jennifer brings nearly 30 years of providing top-quality client service and has been instrumental in guiding the firm’s internal culture,” Varney said. “She’s a consummate professional, and we have every confidence she will guide the company forward in the years ahead.”
Brantley joined the company as an intern in 1992. She works with clients across the Southeast in a variety of industries, including health care, insurance, senior living, and public and private utilities.
“Despite the circumstances, I’m very excited to assume this new role and continue the work Alice did to put our team on a growth trajectory,” Brantley said. “The future looks bright for our community, and we look forward to continuing to play a role as one of its preeminent strategic communications firms.”
Brantley completed the University of South Florida’s “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace” program and represents MP&F as the Nashville Health Care Council’s DEI officer.
She is actively involved in the community. She serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee and The West End Home Foundation. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville, the Nashville Health Care Council’s Leadership Health Care and the Nashville Area Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi. She is also a member of the Nashville chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and is an active member of the Counselors Academy of PRSA.
