Baker Public Relations, a full-service communications firm and New York State-Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), announced the hiring of Kristin Wenger as Senior Account Director for the Pittsburgh office.

“I am delighted to welcome Kristin to the Baker Public Relations team,” said founder and CEO Megan Baker.” She brings a wealth of knowledge from the Pittsburgh hospitality industry, as well as solid relationships within the local media landscape. Her experience and passion for Pittsburgh is truly remarkable and I look forward to watching her assist in growing clientele for the Pittsburgh office.”

Kristin is tasked with growing and overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from healthcare, food and beverage, nonprofit to hospitality. With a pulse on the Pittsburgh business community, she will develop and manage client strategy and execute all tactics including media relations, influencer marketing, event management and social media. She will work with teams across two locations — Pittsburgh and Albany.

“I am thrilled for this new adventure with Baker Public Relations which allows me to continue to promote this great city and its businesses,” said Wenger. “I am eager to work with Megan and the team on strengthening the client base here in Pittsburgh and getting the agency further ingrained in the local community.”

For the last 20 years, Kristin was employed by VisitPITTSBURGH and, most recently, served as its Marketing and Communications Director. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., and resides in Robinson Township.

Megan Baker grew up in Butler, Pa., where her family still lives. Baker Public Relations is headquartered in Albany, N.Y. and opened the Pittsburgh office in late 2019.
