The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations is accepting applications for its Educator Fellowship Program. As a bridge between education and practice, the program consists of an intensive, two-week summer fellowship that allows public relations educators the opportunity to enhance their leadership, networking and professional development skills.

“The selected fellows will be immersed in the current day-to-day operations of world-class public relations functions, seeing first-hand the issues and challenges practitioners face today,” said Dr. Karla Gower, director of the Plank Center.

Key beneficiaries are public relations students. They can be assured their professors are knowledgeable in the current practices and issues facing practitioners and that practitioners have a greater appreciation for the value of theory and research of their classrooms in today’s public relations work.

The Center acts as the convener of the program, matching public relations educators to world-class agencies and corporations based on specific areas of interest, expertise and geographic preference.

The deadline to apply is January 31, 2018. Please visit The Plank Center’s website (plankcenter.ua.edu) for more details on the program and to apply.
