Prosek Partners expands digital capabilities with hire of SVP, Head of Digital Communications, Joe Scannell

Leading integrated marketing and communications firm Prosek Partners announced the expansion of its digital team with the appointment of Joe Scannell. Scannell, who has been named Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Communications, will advise Prosek’s client base on strategic digital communications, including corporate brand marketing, executive positioning and reputation management.

“We are excited to expand our existing bench of savvy and creative digital professionals,” said Jennifer Prosek, Founder and Managing Partner. “Joe’s deep experience in both financial services and digital is a rare mix and will be extremely valuable to the firm and our clients.”

Scannell joins from Edelman, where he spent nearly a decade, most recently as a Senior Vice President within the Financial Communications practice. In that role, he built and led a Digital Financial Communications team and served as the practice’s lead digital advisor.

“The pandemic has underscored the importance of digital channels – with financial and professional services firms looking to evolve their communications, digital has moved from the margins to the mainstream,” said Neil Goklani, Managing Director and Head of Marketing. “As a seasoned professional, Joe is primed to accelerate Prosek’s existing capabilities and propel our clients into the next era of digital communications.”

Scannell also spent six years as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve serving as a Public Affairs Officer (PAO) at the rank of Lieutenant supporting the Navy’s Public Affairs Headquarters at the Pentagon. He earned a master’s degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Marquette University.
