R&J Strategic Communications, a full service integrated marketing and public relations agency, announced that Scott Marioni will be stepping into the position of President. Marioni will take over daily operations of the agency, as well as set R&J’s strategic vision for the future, including building the agency’s leadership team around his vision. The agency’s former President, John Lonsdorf, will be staying on full-time as Chief Executive Officer.

Marioni is a veteran of the communications industry, having made a name for himself within the agency, as well as among clients and peers over the past 25 years. As President, he will bring his experience and perspective to bear in guiding the firm’s continued growth and development. One of Marioni’s chief focuses as President will be to position R&J to stay ahead of the technological curve, and to develop “new frontier services” to meet clients’ changing needs.

A native of Bridgewater, N.J., Marioni has worked as a public relations professional for more than twenty-five years. Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide array of clients in variety of industries ranging from top consumer products companies and large hospital systems to tightly-focused advocacy groups. His professional background includes experience in virtually every facet of the industry including corporate communications, issues management, media relations, product publicity, event management, trade show support, public affairs and crisis management.
As CEO, Lonsdorf will continue working with R&J’s senior management team to ensure an unrelenting commitment to providing exceptional work and outstanding client service. In addition, he will work with the entire team to drive continuous improvement and strengthen the full-service integrated suite of services at R&J.
