Chicago-based agency 3rd Coast PR announced its commitment to support Surge for Water, an international nonprofit organization based in Chicago, to help spotlight the work this organization is doing to address the global water crisis.
“Our team was honored to be chosen by Surge for Water to assist them with the promotion of their 10th annual gala and help them garner more national media attention,” said Rich Timmons, president and CSO at 3rd Coast PR. “We’re inspired by the work they are doing to ensure more people have access to clean drinking water and hope our efforts will help them reach their goal of impacting one million people by early 2019.”
Since 2008, Surge for Water has invested in international communities by providing safe water and sanitation solutions to help end the cycle of poverty. The organization operates under a community-driven model that works hand-in-hand with local partners and community leaders to implement solutions that are sustainable and support the local economy. To date, Surge has helped over 800,000 people in 11 countries.
Surge’s founder, Shilpa Alva, is excited for the opportunity to work with an award-winning PR agency. “The 3rd Coast team has taken the time to get to know our organization and have genuinely connected to our mission to bring safe water and sanitation to people in need,” said Alva. “We feel confident that this partnership will result in great work as they truly want to help us raise awareness for the issue at hand.”
3rd Coast will focus on brand awareness efforts on a local and national level by supporting the organization’s events and initiatives, leading national media outreach through the rest of the year.
