Highlights from Swanson Russell’s annual meeting in April point to continued business growth as well as a milestone in high employee satisfaction and culture.

In 2018, Swanson Russell had one of its best years financially and as a result, staff has increased to a record high of 168 full-time employees in the Lincoln, Omaha and remote offices. Recently, the agency was recognized by Quantum Workplace as one of Lincoln’s Best Places to Work in the medium-size business category. The Quantum Workplace competition annually surveys and recognizes employee engagement.

Swanson Russell Partner/Chief Creative Officer Brian Boesche commented, “We are very pleased with the survey results and honored to be named one of the area’s Best Places to Work. We know there is always room for improvement and will continue to work toward making Swanson Russell even better in the future, a place where employees can trust that there will be ample opportunities for professional development and career advancement, along with a good work/life balance.”

Swanson Russell Partner/CEO Dave Hansen noted that new business was a key driver in the agency’s business and staff growth. Eleven new clients were acquired in 2018 from Nebraska and around the country. They included full agency-of-record relationships with:

  • Badlands, West Jordan, Utah, producer of hunting packs, apparel and accessories
  • Cattleman’s Beef Promotion and Research Board, Centennial, Colorado (producer communications)
  • MemorialCare, California-based integrated health system
  • Nebraska State Fair

“The past year was very successful for new business,” Hansen said. “This has helped create many opportunities for hiring and advancing our people. We are very optimistic for 2019 and look forward to another strong year.”

Founded in 1962, Swanson Russell is a Nebraska-based marketing communications firm with offices in Lincoln and Omaha. In addition to working with local and regional clients, the full-service agency is nationally recognized for expertise in agriculture, health care, outdoor recreation, construction and the green industry.
