The Brandman Agency announced The RuMa Hotel and Residences as the newest addition to its worldwide luxury travel and lifestyle portfolio. Beckoning a new standard of luxury in Malaysia’s vibrant capital of Kuala Lumpur, the forthcoming hotel will begin welcoming guests in late 2018. An urban haven within the heart of the city’s Golden Triangle, The RuMa Hotel and Residences will be the latest luxury hotel by Urban Resort Concepts (URC) and the company’s first development outside of China. Inspired by Malaysia’s culture and heritage, The RuMa expertly fuses together the exhilaration and convenience of city life with the absolute serenity of vintage Kuala Lumpur.

The RuMa Hotel and Residences will be comprised of 253 elegant guest rooms and suites, each featuring handcrafted, artisanal furniture and awe-inspiring views of Kuala Lumpur’s increasingly rising skyline, including the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. In collaboration with Shanghai-based design firm MQ-studio, the hotel’s interiors will exemplify Urban Retreat Concept’s hallmark design principles, integrating luxurious and understated metaphorical design throughout a modern space, uniquely crafted with local cultural influences. The hotel’s flagship restaurant, ATAS, will be a modern Malaysian eatery with Executive Chef Tyson Gee at the helm.
Expanding Urban Resort Concept’s increasingly global presence, The RuMa will be the only hotel in Kuala Lumpur to join The Leading Hotels of the World—a collection of more than 400 luxury hotels around the globe to embody the essence of their destinations—and marking the Shanghai-based company’s first luxury development outside of China.
