The Institute for Public Relations Launches IPR ELEVATE Membership Community

by | Feb 18, 2022

The Institute for Public Relations (IPR) has launched IPR ELEVATE, an exclusive membership program for ambitious and entrepreneurial leaders who are passionate about and dedicated to IPR’s research-focused mission to promote the science beneath the art of public relations.TM

IPR ELEVATE offers leadership and professional development opportunities for a generation of leaders who care about the importance of research and insights to the field,” said Steve Cody, founder and CEO of Peppercomm and inaugural chair of the IPR ELEVATE Committee. “I’m excited to work with these leaders to launch this program and advance IPR’s mission.”

IPR ELEVATE is open to mid- and senior-level, high-achieving communication professionals with at least 10 years of experience from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. To ensure an engaging experience with a greater opportunity for collaboration, IPR ELEVATE will limit its membership to fewer than 35 leaders in its inaugural year. Members are elected by the IPR ELEVATE Committee, comprising top CCOs, as well as agency, nonprofit, and executive search leaders. Applications will be accepted on a quarterly basis with the first review of applications due on April 1, 2022.

“The IPR Trustees enthusiastically support the IPR ELEVATE initiative as it fills a gap in our industry for high-performing individuals who want to support IPR and the industry,” said IPR President and CEO Dr. Tina McCorkindale. “We are excited to elect the inaugural class this spring.”

IPR ELEVATE members will have leadership, skill, and knowledge-building opportunities. Members have access to the latest research, in-person and virtual events, as well as learning, networking, and mentorship opportunities with IPR Trustees. IPR Elevate members can serve on IPR Commissions or Centers of Excellence, and designated committees or task forces.

Application and Nomination process for IPR ELEVATE
Candidates will submit an application along with their professional credentials and biography. If their nomination is being supported by a member of the IPR community, the nominating sponsor will be contacted to submit their statement of support.  Candidates may self-nominate and all applications will be reviewed by a diverse committee of IPR trustees. The deadlines for applications are April 1, June 1, September 1, and November 1, 2022.

Membership is $3500 annually ($1750 for nonprofit organizations) for a two-year renewable term. Full-time academics may contact IPR for pricing details.
