Marketing strategies that spur growth for your new business

by | Dec 8, 2020 | Marketing, Public Relations

Starting a business is not an easy task. It requires an idea, a profitable niche from that idea, identifying the target demographic, and creating a product that will cater to their needs or solve an issue the target audience might have. However, creating buzz around the business has become increasingly difficult, especially for business owners and marketers who do not use the right growth strategies.

Fortunately, it’s not too difficult to figure out the right marketing and public relations strategies and find out which messages will reach the target audience in an ideal way. Improving the visibility and the reach of the business will, in turn, improve the sales—whether that’s selling products or services.

Businesses can’t afford to ignore social media platforms, where all the magic happens

There are plenty of businesses that have grown exponentially simply through proper social media utilization. Although sharing on the right platforms might be difficult initially, it gets a lot easier with time.

Some businesses with bigger budgets greatly benefit from working with a social media manager. Those who don’t have the funds have to invest their time and find time to share thoughts and products by the business and anything relevant or useful for the target audience or the industry at large.

Another great way to get the word out is by creating video tutorials

This is how the business teaches the public something that’s going to be useful. Visual step-by-step instructions are very informative and popular right now. The more value the business provides for the audience, the quicker it will boost visibility and sales.

The most challenging part about these video tutorials is playing them back when they need to be edited since most people don’t like hearing their own recorded voice. Fortunately, it’s relatively easy to get used to the sound over time.

As marketer Alexei Orlov of MTM often notes, “Businesses that don’t have a blog are losing out on visibility and gaining an essential marketing tool—thought leadership. Having authority in an industry is a big contributor to growth, especially when done on platforms such as Medium or LinkedIn, where anyone can share valuable content and reach a big audience.”

The key ingredient here is providing value

That way, the business can immediately become an authority in the public’s eyes, which is a very powerful strategy when it comes to marketing a business.

Many business owners are wary of search engine optimization, and that way, they miss out on a very powerful marketing tool. It is important to note here that SEO isn’t actually about tricking the search engine algorithm into appearing higher in the results. In fact, doing so can damage the business overall.

Most people tend to overuse keywords when it comes to utilizing SEO. However, the best way to go about it is to create content that people will find valuable and enjoy interacting with instead.
