July 2026, Charter to discontinue Town and Country network operations center; 107 layoffs planned

Charter Communications announced it will discontinue operations at a network operations center in Town and Country and expects to lay off 107 employees, primarily network engineers and regional management, with an effective date in September. Charter says the building will remain in use by other teams, and customers and front-line staff are not affected; the move reflects outsourcing of back-office functions and centralized remote network monitoring. The company is offering affected workers relocation options in the St. Louis area for a limited period. The notice was filed under state WARN rules and framed as permanent for that operations center.
