If you’re anything like us, you’re always hunting for a new PR podcast to add to your library. We like a mix of business and pleasure, and when that happens in the same show, all the better! 

We put together a list of 10 PR and comms podcasts from the US, UK, and Canada for the PR pro who wants to improve their skills, keep up with the headlines, and learn from others in the industry. 

We would never presume to call this a complete list, but we hope this will give you a few new shows to check out in 2022. All PR podcasts on this list are updated regularly and have a back catalogue to keep you going while you’re waiting for the next episode to be released.  

The Spin Sucks Podcast with Gini Dietrich 

Established in 2018; 100+ episodes 

Gini Dietrich is the founder and CEO of Spin Sucks, the creator of the PESO Model, and the author of Spin Sucks. Every week, in usually less than 15 minutes, Gini tackles a subject that matters to PR and comms professionals. From highly tactical episodes on how to set up a PR side gig to big topics like mental health, Gini thoughtfully provides her perspective—which we think is always worth listening to. 

The PR Week  

Established in 2019; 90+ episodes 

You already trust PRWeek as a source of PR industry news, updates, and insights. In these roughly 30-minute-long episodes featuring different industry guests, you’ll get the “weekly roundup of everything that matters in the worlds of PR and communications”.  

Indestructible PR Podcast 

Established 2018, 180+ episodes 

Molly McPherson, APR, is a crisis comms expert with decades of experience. If you’re looking to improve your crisis comms skills and want to learn from real life examples, then Molly’s show is for you. She “teaches communicators how to manage crises and build an indestructible reputation.” 

The Upside 

Established 2021, 30+ episodes  

Covering a broad range of topics from micro-influencers to PR fails, the three PR professionals who co-host this series “come to the table with weekly episodes about always seeing the upside in their work and lives.” 

On Top of PR With Jason Mudd 

Established 2020, 75+ episodes 

Jason Mudd is the CEO and managing partner of Axia Public Relations, recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best PR Agencies for 2021. Since 2020, Jason Mudd has been interviewing guests in the PR world on topics ranging from effective crisis communications to news releases.  

The PR Pace Podcast 

Established 2020, 50+ episodes 

Hosted by Annie Scranton, founder and president of Pace Public Relations in New York, The PR Pace breaks down “the biggest news stories through a PR lens” and interviews a diverse group of PR and comms professionals, including journalists and producers.

PR Profiles

Yes, we did add ourselves to this list, but that’s only because we think you’ll like our show! Every month we interview a different PR/comms professional about their role, what they’re most passionate about, and what they’ve learned in their years of working in the industry. Our conversations may be short but they’re never light on insights.   

You’ll recognize a couple of our PR Profiles guests from this list: Gini Dietrich helped us premiere the show and Annie Scranton was our special guest for Episode 4. 

PRmoment podcast 

Established 2018, 180+ episodes 

PRmoment is another trusted online resource for PR professionals, particularly those in the UK, providing “short, sharp, insightful content” for industry novices and veterans alike. They use their podcast platform to promote “some of the leading lights of UK PR” in “life story style interviews” that are usually around 30 minutes.  

The PR Maven Podcast 

Established 2018, 100+ episodes 

Who knew a PR career could be born from a love of skiing? Each week Nancy Marshall, CEO of Marshall Communications, “connects with a special guest to talk about their career, and business or organization, as well as the latest news and events that will give listeners a unique perspective on the world of public relations, marketing and personal branding.” 

PR Talk 

Established 2017, 100+ episodes 

PR Talk is produced by Veracity Agency, a hybrid PR firm in Portland, Oregon, and hosted by founder and president, Amy Rosenberg. On each episode of PR Talk, Amy chats with PR pros, marketers, entrepreneurs, and journalists. The show is geared towards anyone in PR “whether you’re a newbie looking to get into the field, or a senior-level pro keeping up-to-date with current trends.”
