Leading global strategic communications advisory firm Finsbury Glover Hering (FGH) announced that longtime legislative and political strategist Colleen Bell has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the Washington office. Bell brings extensive public policy and political expertise to the firm and will advise a diverse portfolio of FGH clients in their public affairs efforts.

Bell comes to FGH as a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran with over 12 years of experience. Bell most recently served as a senior advisor and legislative director for Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), where she was responsible for developing strategies to advance the Senator’s legislative priorities and lead the Office’s team of policy aides.
Prior to her time in Sen. Blumenthal’s office, Bell served as the legislative director for Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), legislative counsel for Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), senior policy advisor for Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO) and legislative assistant and counsel for Reps. Betty Sutton (D-OH), Kathy Dahlkemper (D-PA) and Mary Jo Kilroy (D-OH).
Bell is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
