Clarity, a global integrated communications agency recently commended by PRWeek as both Best International Agency, and winner of Specialist Consultancy of the Year, has announced a senior Global appointment.
Effective January 1st, Alex Judd has been named Head of Planning and Insight, a newly created role to oversee the implementation of impactful measurement and insights across Clarity’s global footprint and to support ongoing growth plans for 2021.
Based in London, but reporting into Clarity’s President, North America and AMEC Board Member, Jon Meakin, Alex brings over 10 years of experience to the Clarity team. Most recently Alex worked at Grayling as Digital Director, running Grayling’s global planning and management tool suite. During his career, he has created proprietary methodologies, based on AMEC’s Integrated Evaluation Framework, for measuring effectiveness of client work, as well as building technologies that enable clients to take control of their search engine presence.
“I’m delighted to be joining Clarity’s smart and ambitious team at such a crucial moment for our industry. Words like data, insight, measurement and impact are often empty buzzwords, but now, more than ever, clients need an agency that can prove its value on the bottom line. We can now deliver everything from detailed market analysis to inform campaigns, through to real-time evaluation and agile optimisation and amplification of our work. Clarity is on a mission to be at the forefront of those blending the art and science of proper integrated communications with the all-important goal of delivering results that truly kick ass for our clients,” said Alex Judd.
“I’m very excited to welcome such exceptional senior talent to Clarity,” said Clarity Founder and CEO Sami McCabe. “To be making these investments in the current economic climate reflects the underlying strength of our business, and our confidence in future growth prospects. Alex joins an already exceptionally strong Global team focused on realising our vision for a new type of agency that combines the pace, agility and proactivity of a boutique, with the scale, reach and impact of a large global firm. This is only the first of many major developments we have planned for 2021, and we can’t wait to get cracking.”
Alex Judd’s appointment follows a string of recent senior hires including Meakin as President, North America and Kara Silverman as Managing Director, New York, as well as promotions, including Ruth Sarfaty to Head of Client Services, and Rachel Gilley as President EMEA alongside her UK MD role. In 2020, Clarity has seen record revenue growth of 43% year on year, along with a series of recent investments in the business including the acquisition of Yellow Communications in Benelux; the acquisition of Brew PR in Los Angeles, and of consumer tech agency Dynamo in London. Recent client wins for Clarity include Pay Zilch, Bambuser, YUBO and OpenWeb.
