Findr appoints The PHA Group to manage PR ahead of Summer 2020 launch

by | May 15, 2020

The PHA Group announced its appointment by AI partnership matching platform Findr ahead of the start-up’s launch later this year.

The PHA Group’s award-winning Technology team has been tasked with building the profile of Findr, which was founded to address the key reason why 75% of fintechs fail within their first year: that many run out of money before they can finalise the partnerships they need to thrive. The company is in the midst of a £300,000 seed funding round and has already signed up a number of leading fintechs, financial institutions and retailers for early beta access.

Founded by entrepreneur Greg Watts, who was formerly head of market acceleration and partnerships at Visa Europe, Findr provides fintechs with a rich, single view of prospective retailers, financial institutions or investors, then enables them to assess and connect with each other in minutes or hours instead of the industry average of 12-18 months. This unique matchmaking capability uses data from Crunchbase – with which Findr has a strategic partnership – and from other sources.

Significantly during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Findr enables partnerships to be created virtually, without any physical contact necessary.

Findr appointed PHA Group because of the Technology team’s experience and successful track record of working with ambitious, fast-growth tech start-ups and their founders over a number of years.

Greg Watts, Founder and CEO of Findr, said: “Having worked with Ben Cossor and the PHA team on multiple, successful projects in recent years, I’m pleased to enlist their support once again to raise awareness of Findr. Our focus will initially be on the UK — the second largest fintech market in the world. Over time, our ambition is to become the leading global platform to automate and accelerate the creation of commercial partnerships, spanning multiple verticals.”

Ben Cossor, Head of Technology PR at The PHA Group, commented: “What Greg has achieved in business is seriously impressive and it’s a pleasure to be working with him to raise the profile of his latest venture, Findr. The fact he has already secured a partnership with Crunchbase and has interest from leading fintechs, financial institutions and retailers, speaks volumes. We’re genuinely excited by Findr’s vision to address one of the most common problems and barriers for fintech start-ups, and we’re delighted to partner with them on their journey.”
