RF|Binder announced that Karina Frayter, long-time journalist and producer, has joined RF|Binder as a Managing Director, bringing her media intelligence and expertise to RF|Binder’s strong team of media-savvy professionals. Frayter will work across agency accounts to drive media relations excellence and establish new best practices based on the ever-changing media landscape.
Frayter will bolster the agency’s proven success at building strong media relationships and creating timely stories. She will work directly with existing clients to secure new coverage, establish and deepen the agency’s ongoing relationships, as well as constantly keep RF|Binder and its clients on the pulse of transformation taking place today. In addition, to build on the team’s expertise, she will facilitate educational trainings and seminars that evolve existing storytelling capabilities, and keep agency in touch with the quickly changing newsroom.

Frayter brings over a decade of experience in business journalism and television news production. Prior to joining RF|Binder, Frayter was a field producer at CNBC Business News, where she covered a broad range of topics including stock market, IPOs, economy, banking, financial technology and payments. Frayter has extensive experience producing breaking news, investigative reports and in-depth interviews with corporate executives. She produced CNBC’s long-running series “Where the Jobs Are,” and her digital documentary “The Bitcoin Uprising” was awarded an Honorable Mention by Cablefax Program Awards.
Prior to joining CNBC in 2010, Frayter was an assignment editor at CNN in New York, where she helped shape the network’s coverage of business and economic news during the height of the financial crisis. In addition, she served as a producer for the network’s leading business correspondent.
At the start of her journalism career, Frayter worked at CNN-International in London and Atlanta, as well as at News 12 Connecticut. She was awarded the Reynolds Business Journalism Week Fellowship by Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Frayter was also a fellow with the Council of Women World Leaders.
